Weekly Group Ride Descriptions

Pedal Power hosts weekly recurring group rides for road, rail-trail, and mountain biking. All rides are free to the public and everyone is encouraged to join up and participate in your local cycling community. We offer group rides of varying intensity so anyone can join.

All participants are required to wear a CPSC rated cycling helmet.

Frequently check our Ride Alert page for ride route and weather status.

All riders are required to fill out Pedal Power's group-ride-waiver once per year.

We look forward to riding with you!

Road Rides

Pedal Power offers several road-oriented rides during the week. All rides require the use of a road, gravel, or cyclocross bicycle. All participants are required to wear a CPSC rated cycling helmet, and are mandated to sign the Pedal Power group-ride-waiver once per riding season.

It is highly suggested that you also bring two water bottles, a high energy snack (like gels, Clif bar, etc), a spare tube & an emergency repair kit. If you don't have any of the mentioned items, Pedal Power stocks a wide variety of options. Visit us well in advance of the ride so we can help you pick out the items that will best suit your riding!

Vernon Rail Trail Rides: This ride is currently looking for a ride leader. Contact the shop if you have any interest. These rides are an all-abilities, family friendly, mellow, and begin at Pedal Power in Vernon, wheels down at 6:00pm. We'll roll out to the covered bridge in Andover (don't forget to snag a locally made donuts or two at the 7-11 under the bridge!), where we'll hang out, have a snack, and head on back. If you get tired, or want to bail out at any point, simply turn around & head back to the shop. The group typically breaks up into different paces, and you can't get lost, so it's well suited to all abilities. Cyclocross & gravel bikes are fastest, but mountain bikes & hybrids are suitable as well. We hope you will join us!
